بعض اوقات سمجھانا کتنا مشکل ہوتا ہے یوں لگتا ہے ہمیں کوئی بھی لفظ کہنا نہیں آتا یا بھر ہمارے ذہن میں کچھ ہے ہی نہیں یہ بالکل خالی ہے۔ ہم اسقدر ذہین یا دوسرے لفظوں میں بااعتماد کیوں نہیں ہوتے کہ کسی کو مطمئن  سکیں آخر ایسا کس لیے ہوتا ہے؟ یا بھر یہ کے جسے ہم مطمین کرنا چاہتے ہیں وہ ہی اسقدر ذہین ہوتا ہے کہ باوجود ہماری سچائی کے کسی بھی طرح مطمئن نہیں ہوتا یا پھر یہ کہ یہ شخص انتہائی کم ذہین ہے کہ کچھ بھی سمجھتا نہیں۔ اور جب بھی ایسا ہو تو پھر ذہین میں صرف ایک دعا کونج رہی ہوتی ہے کہ "ہا رب میرے ذہین کی کوئی ایسی کھڑکی کوئی ایسا تاریک گوشہ روشن کر دے کہ جس میں سے ایسے الفاظ کا خزانہ برآمد ہو کہ میں سامنے بیھٹے بندے کو مطمین کردوں۔
